Orange (or golden yellow) powder. It is soluble in hot nitrobenzene, slightly soluble in o-chlorophenol, pyridine, and insoluble in water, acetone, ethanol, toluene or chloroform. Usage
Vat Yellow is mainly used for dyeing and printing of cotton, dimensional and dimensional/cotton, polyester/cotton. It has good affinity to cotton fiber and level dyeing. Because it is difficult to oxidize, it can be oxidized with hydrogen peroxide or sodium perborate to get bright and bright color. It is also used to make organic pigments.
